1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to KleverCV. By accessing or using our resume generation service (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

KleverCV is an AI-powered resume generation service that:

  • Parses and extracts information from uploaded resume PDFs
  • Tailors resume content to specific job descriptions using artificial intelligence
  • Generates professionally formatted resume PDFs in various templates
  • Provides transparency through our Truth Protocol feature, showing what was changed and why

The Service operates on a credit-based system where each resume generation consumes one credit.

3. Account Registration and Security

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing:

  • A valid email address
  • A secure password, or authentication through Google OAuth

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service.

4. Credits and Payment

Free Credits: New users receive 3 free credits upon account registration.

Purchasing Credits: Additional credits can be purchased through our pricing plans:

  • Starter: 5 credits
  • Pro: 20 credits (best value)
  • Premium: 50 credits

Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms and conditions.

No Refunds: Credit purchases are final and non-refundable. Credits do not expire.

Credit Usage: One credit is deducted only when a resume generation completes successfully. Failed generations do not consume credits.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Upload content that you do not have the right to upload (including others' resumes without permission)
  • Use the Service to create false, misleading, or fraudulent resumes
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of our Service
  • Use automated systems (bots, scripts) to access the Service in a way that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or any systems/networks
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to the resume content you upload and the generated resumes. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Our Service: The Service itself, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and other content (excluding your uploaded content), is owned by KleverCV and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

RenderCV: We use RenderCV, an open-source project, for PDF generation. RenderCV is licensed under the MIT License.

7. AI-Generated Content and Accuracy

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate and modify resume content. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate modifications
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before use
  • We provide the Truth Protocol feature to show changes, but you must verify accuracy
  • We make no guarantees about the effectiveness of tailored resumes in job applications
  • You should never include false information in your resume, even if suggested by the AI

It is your responsibility to ensure all content in your final resume is accurate and truthful.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be available at all times without interruption
  • The Service will be error-free or secure from unauthorized access
  • Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable if for any reason all or part of the Service is unavailable.

9. Termination

By You: You may delete your account at any time through the settings page. Upon deletion, your account data and generated resumes will be permanently deleted.

By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Your account remains inactive for an extended period
  • We are required to do so by law

Unused credits are forfeited upon account termination and are not refundable.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KLEVRCV SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of your data
  • Any errors or omissions in AI-generated content
  • Any employment decisions made based on resumes generated through the Service

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE PAST SIX MONTHS, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
